15/05/2006-- We are proud to help UNICEF advertise their vehicles in relation to the event Socces Aid in support with T-Mobile.

Soccer Aid is raising funds for UNICEF's global health, education and protection work with vulnerable children. UNICEF works with partners in 155 countries, through long-term development and emergency work, to help children reach their full potential. UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions and the donations to Soccer Aid will enable UNICEF and partners to reach many thousands more children worldwide.

Soccer Aid will launch a summer of football on ITV with World Cup legends and top celebrities teaming up to go head-to-head in England versus The Rest of The World, all in aid of charity UNICEF and partners.

T-Mobile is to sponsor this summer’s Soccer Aid event, to be screened on ITV1 and ITV2.
Both squads contain ten international celebrities and six World Cup greats, and to keep you on your toes in the build up to the show's hotly anticipated kick off, we can now reveal the list of famous faces primed for the pitch!

Passionate UNICEF ambassador and England skipper Robbie said, "I have been an Ambassador for UNICEF since 2000, and some of the best moments of my life have been those spent with children in Mozambique and Sri Lanka. During my last UNICEF trip I met so many kids who gave me reason to smile. “Now, through UNICEF and Soccer Aid, I want to be able to give them something to smile about too." --

04/05/2006-- From May 5, cinemas across major cities will screen this season’s most anticipated action-thriller, “Mission: Impossible III” – and DHL, the world’s leading express and logistics company, played a pivotal role behind the cameras. Paramount Pictures chose DHL as its official shipping and logistics partner for the motion picture.

To showcase its support for this partnership, a suit of creatives including a TV commercial (produced jointly by DHL and Paramount), outdoor advertising, a special microsite - www.dhl.com/mi3 - and other marketing material was created and rolled out at country levels.

We, at Pyramid Visuals also took a part in their outdoor advertising. Wrapping upto 25 DHL Vans. --

28/11/2005-- IN Late November, Initial city link Launched UK's first ever Christmas themed delivery vehicles.

The first two designs were launched in mid November at Edinburg's Royal Hospital for Sick Children, where the Santa and Snowman vans delivered a cheque for £800, enough to provide TLC to the children in Ward 4 over the Christmas period, which treats children with cancer and orthopaedic problems.

In addition we also delivered a state of the art Philips Television to entertain the kids during Christmas, in partnership with John Lewis Edinburgh.

Maureen Harrison, Director of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation is delighted that the hospital has recieved this gift.
"City Link really has worked hard to ensure that their gift to the hospital will be of real benefit to those who need their help here. As well as a televsion that will entertain many children in the ward, City Link will be providing vital de-stressing and relaxing time for patients and parents who often suffer from stress. We are enormously grateful to them for their kindness and I know that it really will provide much needed TLC for Sick Kids patients and their families."

These festive vehicles will also be used for other charity and promotional activity over the Christmas period, and will be dedicated to providing an interesting sight to both our customers and the general public alike. Expect to see them carrying out their delivery duties anywhere from central london to the West Country.

Our Santa's Sleigh also visited Ardverike House, Newtonmore in the Highlands of Scotland, otherwise better known as Glenbogle House from the hit BBC TV series Monarch of the Glen. Our corporate Christmas card features one of the photographs taken during this trip and we would very much like to thank Ardverikie estate for their kind permission to use this much sought after image.

We do hope our Christmas delivery fleet raises a smile or two on the faces that cath a glimpse of them this year. Initial City Link is committed to giving a little back to the community, and would like to think these vehicles will appeal to both young and old.

Should they in some small way brighten up an otherwise dull day, the please let us know your comments by contacting us at christmasvans@city-link.co.uk --
